DAY COUNTY - JOB

66 Books of the Bible Release to 66 Counties of South Dakota

Our 18th county to pray for in South Dakota is Day County, with the city of Webster being the county seat.  We release the book of Job to Day County.  Job is considered the 1st book written in the Bible, many commentators believing Moses to be the author, written 1500 years before Christ.  There is no question that Job knew about Jesus: "For I know that my redeemer lives, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth" (Job 19:25). This is one of the greatest revelations of the resurrection because of the redemption of Jesus Christ in the whole Bible.

The name Almighty God or El Shaddai - the God Who is more than enough in the time of trail - is used again and again in this book.  If ever a man had a revelation of the God Who is more than enough - the Lord Jesus Christ - it is Job!  He also saw Jesus as a mediator in Job 9:33.  The two things that turned Job's time of captivity that we are to learn is  1) repentance of our own faults and 2) praying for the people who are against you - bless them.  Job 42:10 explains that "the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends, also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before."

Father in the might name of Jesus, we release unto Day County a revelation of El Shaddai, the God Who is more than enough.  Cause the people of Day County to understand the important role of their intercessions and proclamations in prayer, repentance, and forgiveness, even in times of turmoil. We release the double portion blessing that Job received in the end as he was faithful to God.  We release through the Blood and the Light of Jesus Christ to the people and land of Day County, wisdom and understanding in knowing that their Reedeemer Lives!  That Resurrection Life would flow through Day County in the name of Jesus!
