CUSTER COUNTY - NEHEMIAH

66 Books of the Bible Release to 66 Counties of South Dakota

Our 16th county to pray for in South Dakota is Custer County, with the city of Custer being the county seat.  We release the book of Nehemiah to Custer County.  Like Ezra, Nehemiah's work of restoration of the walls of Jerusalem foreshadows the work of Jesus in restoring man to God through the Cross.  The wonderful prayers of Nehemiah also remind us of the prayer ministry of Jesus.  Nehemiah was a man of prayer, and his powerful, persistent prayers accomplished great things. There are nine major prayers in the book of Nehemiah.  It is a powerful book of prayer.  And what did Nehemiah do when opposition came as he was rebuilding the walls?  He prayed and he worked (Nehemiah 6:3.)  As a result, they completed rebuilding the walls in just 52 days.  And in Nehemiah chapter 8, when the law was read, there was repentance among the people and a great revival began.
Father in the name of your Son Jesus, we thank you that Custer County will 1st tear down walls of division that the enemy has caused especially between our native and non-native cultures.  Father, we pray the spirit of repentance and intercession to ignite in the hearts of the people in Custer County.  That even as Nehemiah, with great prayer, the walls would be rebuilt that bring restoration and reconciliation, harmony and brotherly love for one another. The people of Custer County will pray and they will work even in times of adversity as Nehemiah.   We thank you Father as your people stand in the gap for Custer County, a mighty spirit of revival would flow across the land.  We release through the blood and the light of Jesus Christ, a great move of Holy Spirit in Custer County.  Be Blessed Custer County and lead the way in a might move of God!
