Our 8th County to pray for in South
Dakota is Buffalo County, with the city of Gann Valley being the county
seat. We release the book of Ruth to Buffalo County. This
book is a picture of the Messiah and the gentile Church, Ruth's story reveals
redemption through the "Kinsman-Redeemer" and stresses God's
providential rewards for faithfulness. This was a key book in a dark time. The
word kinsman comes from a Hebrew word that means, "one who has the right
to redeem." The definition for redeem, 1) to get or buy back, recover, 2)
to set free, rescue, make amends for, 3) to deliver from sin & it's
penalties. In the Old Testament, an Israelite could sell himself, his family,
or his land in cases of poverty (Lev 25:39-43.) The kinsman redeemer was
provided to protect the clan, a near relative, that had the 1st option to buy
back any land or person allowing them to be kept in the clan.(Lev 25:25)
Boaz, a type of Christ, acted as a redeemer and married Ruth.
The criteria to be a "kinsman redeemer" must 1) be related by blood to those he redeems, 2) be able to pay the redemption, 3) be willing to redeem, and 4) be Free himself. Jesus fulfills each of these requirements as our Kinsman-Redeemer! (John 1:14) Jesus had to come in the flesh to be our kinsman-redeemer to be a relative in the flesh, as He laid down His divinity for us.
Father in the mighty name of Jesus, we release the blood and light of Jesus Christ, the Kinsman- Redeemer as in the book of Ruth to Buffalo County. As Gann Valley, the county seat holds the record for the hottest temperature in South Dakota (120 degrees F), we declare that that city will now be the hotspot for your Presence, for Your Glory in Buffalo County as the Kinsman-Redeemer. We also pray for the Crow Creek Reservation as part of it is in Buffalo County. We release the Kinsman-Redeemer to your native family and that the dark times of injustice and unrighteousness they have had to endure in this nation, that you Lord would now reveal Yourself to them and be their true Kinsman-Redeemer and bring your justice and righteousness. We pray for full restoration and healing to come to our Dakota and Lakota people. That Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on earth in Buffalo County, as it is in Heaven!
