BROWN COUNTY - JOSHUA

66 Books of the Bible Release to 66 Counties of South Dakota

Our 6th county to pray for in South Dakota is Brown County, with the city of Aberdeen being the county seat. We release the book of Joshua to Brown County.  Joshua was a courageous man who strongly led his people as his life was another "type" for Jesus Himself.  The meaning of the name Joshua in Hebrew means Yeshua or Jesus.  In Joshua 1.8, God declared that if His Word would be spoken, and mediated on, and observed that one's way would be prosperous and successful.  Also many times, God told Joshua to be strong and of good courage.  As in chapter 6, the Battle of Jericho was fought in a divine strategy, as Joshua took courage and obeyed the voice of the Lord.  In this book, God was faithful to give His people the Promised Land.

In Joshua chapter 24, verse 15, his boldness of faith was made known, when Joshua said, "Choose you this day who you shall serve...."But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."  Father we pray in the name of Jesus, that you would instill in the people of Brown County a new boldness of faith in You, that even as Joshua, they would desire to know you and obey your Word regardless of even challenging circumstances.  Cause your intercessors in Brown County to form a Jericho wall of intercession that will cause great breakthrough for them to be able to cross over to their promised land that you have predestined for them.  Cause the boldness and strength of Joshua to reside in the people of Brown County.  That they too will take a stand and say, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Through the Blood and the Light of Jesus Christ, we speak Blessings to you Brown County and may your land be prosperous and may you be successful in the ways of Christ.
