LINCOLN COUNTY - MARK

66 Books of the Bible Release to 66 Counties of South Dakota

 Our 41st county to pray for in South Dakota is Lincoln County, with the city of Canton being the county seat.  We release the book of Mark to Lincoln County.  As the Lion was the logo of Matthew, the logo of Mark is the Ox -showing Jesus as the servant as well as the sacrifice - the Savior of all men.  Mark 10:45 is the key verse which shows Mark's presentation of the person and work of Jesus, "For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."  By preaching, teaching, and healing, He ministers to the needs of others even to the point of death.  After the resurrection, Jesus commissions His followers to continue His work in His compassion and power - servants following in the steps of the perfect Servant (Mark 8:34-37).  

Miracles are predominant in this book and they are used to demonstrate not only the power of Christ but also His compassion.  It is clear that the early church proclaimed the same message Jesus preached, that is, "the Gospel of the Kingdom of God." Also they experienced the same confirming evidences present in His ministry.  And so it is meant for us today as believers in Christ, also commissioned to carry this "Good News" and be walking epistles of His Glory.
Thus holding true to the full Gospel of the Kingdom, and expecting the Lord to confirm that "Word" with the signs He promised in Mark 16:15-18.

Father we thank you for Lincoln County, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. We thank you for a fresh revelation of Jesus as the compassionate servant to pour over the people of Lincoln County.  And as Your people embrace this place of servant-hood in Christ, they too will experience the ministry of Your compassion and Your power.  And as ambassadors to bring the "Good News" of Your Kingdom to others, You will confirm Your Word with accompanying signs (16:20).
We release through the name and the blood of Christ, accompanying signs, and, wonders, and miracles over the land and people of Lincoln County.  Let it be heard from Lincoln County, "the Kingdom of God is at hand!"
