KINGSBURY COUNTY - ZECHARIAH

66 Books of the Bible Release to 66 Counties of South Dakota

Our 38th county to pray for in South Dakota is Kingsbury County, with the city of DeSmet being the county seat.  We release the book of   Zechariah to Kingsbury County.  Zechariah, whose name means "Yahweh Remembers," a contemporary prophet of Haggai, was called to arouse the returned Jews to complete the task of rebuilding the temple.  The book begins with the Word of the Lord for the people to repent and turn again to their God.  The people are called on to repent of their lethargy and complete the unfinished task of building the House of God.  He uses the title "The Lord of hosts" 52 times which is a description of God as the leader and ruler of heavenly armies.

Zechariah is sometimes referred to as the most messianic of all the Old Testament books.  Chapters 9-14 are the most quoted section of the Prophets in the passionate narrative of the Gospels.  Zechariah prophecies that the Messiah will come as the wall of Fire (2
:5), as the "Branch" (3:8), as both King and Priest (6:13), as the True Shepherd (11:4-11), and as a cleansing Fountain (13:1).  Zechariah also bears testimony to Christ's betrayal for 30 pieces of silver (11:12-13), His crucifixion (12:10), His suffering (13:7), and His Second Advent (14:4).

Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you that Jesus is a cleansing Fountain to the people in Kingsbury County.  And that they would have revelation of You as their True Shepherd and also as their King and Priest.

We declare and release through the Blood and the Light of Jesus Christ these verses over Kingsbury County . . .

"For I, say the Lord, will be a wall of fire all around her and I will be the Glory in her midst" (2
:5)
We thank you Father, you are a wall of fire around Kingsbury County and that Your Glory is in the very midst of the people and the land.

"Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain" (10
:1).
We ask for the rain of Heaven to pour over Kingsbury County, that Your Kingdom of Heaven would reign in Kingsbury County.

". . . Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord of Hosts" (4
:6).
Holy Spirit we ask You to come and show Yourself strong to the people of Kingsbury County, knowing it is only by Your Spirit that we can do anything righteous.  Empower Your people in Kingsbury County with Your Presence, with Your Glory!
