Our 39th
county to pray for in South Dakota is Lake County, with the city of
Madison being the county seat. We release the book of Malachi to Lake
County. The prophet Malachi wrote as last of the 12 Minor Prophets,
the final inspired writer of Scripture until the New Testament. After
Malachi there were 400 years of silence until John the Baptist came to
introduce the One of whom all the prophets spoke - Jesus Christ. Jesus'
First and Second Advents are clearly described in Malachi 3:1-5. Malachi
foretells of the messenger (John the Baptist) who will prepare the way before
the Lord (Malachi 3:1). He also
prophesies of the ministry of Elijah and Moses before Jesus' Second Coming
(Malachi 3:17-4:6).
Malachi means "my messenger." Malachi proclaims the sinful condition of the Jews, warns of God's judgment, and promises relief in the coming of the Savior. But the nation had turned away from the Word, and destruction was coming quickly. The only thing that would save the nation was to heed the message of Malachi. And so it rings true today! True repentance still prepares the way for necessary reforms and Holy Spirit inspired revival and transformation. The Biblical principles for the preservation of any nation are found in Malachi. Each nation can either destroy itself or prosper according to Biblical law.
Father in the mighty name of Jesus, we thank you for Lake County today! We thank you Lord, the people in Lake County will heed your voice and follow your instructions and find their divine identity and true destiny in You, God! We release these scripture over the people and the land of Lake County.
"But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings . . . (Malachi 4:2).
Lord we thank you that Lake County will be a place of healing as they seek the Son of Righteousness, Jesus Christ. We release Your healings and miracles into Lake County.
". . . And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers . . . (Malachi 4:6).
We release the Father's heart into Lake County, that true fathers would love their children as our Heavenly Father loves us. And that the hearts of the children would return to fathers, as the true Sons of God would now be known across this land.
"And they shall be mine, says the Lord of Hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels, and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him" (Malachi 3:17).
We thank you Lord, that Lake County is one of Your jewels in this hour and that the people and land of Lake County would now "shine" with the reflection of Your Glory. Let them now enter into this era of the Bride coming into her mature state and preparing the way of the Lord, in Your 2nd Advent.
